1850's Olivia with her Izannah doll. Olivia was inspired by a mid 19th Century painting that Michael and I bought earlier this year. She is dressed in a wonderful dress of antique wool and slippers of antique silk. She has mid-brown hair and blue/grey glass eyes.

This edition of Olivia comes with a tiny Izannah doll.

I have been intrigued by these wonderful dolls and recently took part in an online Izannah Walker workshop and subsequently given a workshop here at the American Museum along with EJ Taylor.

The little Izannah head is made of paper mâché with cloth stretched over and then oil painted. The body is cloth with separately stitched thumbs. She wears a dress made from antique cotton fabric.

Olivia with her little Izannah is an edition of only 12 pieces.
